Earlier this week, a final site plan application was submitted to St. Lucie County for the new Buc-ee’s location in the southeast corner of Indrio Road and I-95.
In September 2024, the county changed signage rules to allow the business to build a 100-foot-tall sign.
The sign would be situated at the northwest corner of the business, which would include an 80,000-square-foot travel center, 120 fuel pumps and more than 720 parking spots.
County records show the Buc-ee’s development has been in the works since February 2024.
Last April, Gov. Ron DeSantis awarded $4 million to the Florida Department of Transportation to add a new interchange on I-75 in Marion County. The interchange in Ocala is another planned Buc-ee’s site.
The project is expected to bring at least 1,500 new jobs to the state of Florida.
The other Buc-ee’s locations in Florida are in St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.
