Police said that Keeling called the restaurant on Sunday night and said she was returning to pick up the sauce.
Keeling arrived at the restaurant and police said, “the victim, who is the manager at the location, greeted the defendant and inquired how she could assist the defendant. The defendant requested her missing sauce which the victim provided. Then the defendant requested additional sauces for free for ‘wasting her time and gas’ to which the victim declined.”
The suspect then demanded to know the managers’ name, but the manager did not tell her.
Officers said Keeling became hostile, both verbally and physically, and was yelling in the restaurant and disturbing staff and customers.
According to the affidavit, “the defendant then shot out her right hand with force that struck the victim in her right thigh. The defendant utilized this force and momentum to pull the victim’s lanyard that contains the victim’s employee card and keys to the restaurant and is attached to the victim’s belt loop on her right hip, away from the defendant, attempting to temporarily deprive the victim of the property when in the course of the attempt there was force, violence (battery) and the victim was in fear.”
Police say other workers at the restaurant witnessed the attack and that it was caught on surveillance video.
Keeling was arrested and charged with strong arm robbery and booked into the Pinellas County jail.
Keeling posted $2,500 bail and bonded out of jail.
