“July was an extraordinary month for me in the python world,” Kalil wrote.

She says the massive haul last month raised her team’s total number of snake captures to 969.

“It’s been a blast, and I am looking forward to continuing the quest to remove as many pythons as fast as possible, in order to make as big of a positive difference as I can for our native wildlife,” Kalil wrote.

Kalil also revealed that she made her first-ever python catch in the Florida Keys.

Kalil said the “Everglades Avengers”, which is an all-female hunting team, has recently added several new members.

She confirmed with Local 10 News on Thursday that her team would be competing in the Florida Python Challenge 2024.

Kalil says they will be out hunting, when the challenge gets underway at 12:01 a.m. on Friday.

The python hunt runs through Saturday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m.
