Police: Florida McDonald's worker threw drinks, shot at customers during drive-thru fight

LAKELAND, Fla. – A Central Florida McDonald’s worker is facing charges after police say she shot at a customer over a complaint about a wrong order.

Lakeland Police officers were called to the McDonald’s on East Memorial Boulevard on Friday at 1 a.m. after the alleged dispute where Chassidy Gardner, 22, threw a drink at a customer’s car after they complained their order was wrong.

According to police, the customers drove around the business and Gardner walked outside with her gun to argue further. While still outside, Gardner fired her weapon as the vehicle was leaving the parking lot and the victim’s vehicle was struck at least once.

Gardner was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
