Florida police investigate after reports of a man on fire at a Publix

PLANT CITY, Fla. – Florida police are investigating after receiving calls about a man on fire at a Publix.

Plant City police officers were called to the Publix Supermarket at the Walden Wood Shopping Center on Wednesday evening after a caller said a man was on fire inside the store.

Police said several people helped put the fire out before the man, who police said was in his 30s, was taken to a local hospital by Plant City Fire Rescue.

At last check, authorities said the man was listed in critical condition.
