JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s office called in some back up over the weekend, when a large alligator walked onto a busy highway and under a deputy’s patrol car and it was all caught on camera.
Trappers were called in to help the deputies wrangle a large gator on the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. They used a catch pole to help drag the gator out from under the vehicle.
To their surprise, a child stepped in to help.
The child comes from a family of trappers and helps tape up the gators mouth in a cell phone video taken of the incident.
The trapper then put the gator into its truck and helped re-locate it to a safer location.
