JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Florida couple encountered a highway hazard that bites.
Zane Butler and his wife Kim were pulling into their neighborhood near Jacksonville on Saturday night when they were suddenly stopped by an alligator that was chilling out in the middle of the road.
The couple debated what they should do next.
“You can’t tell me I can’t pet a gator if I want to. I’m a Floridian,” Kim Butler said to her husband.
The Butlers were stuck in this jam for several minutes before the gator got out of the way.
Gator mating season will be heating up in the next few months, so more encounters like these are likely.
