Deputies said they heard someone walking in the attic above them and found a five-gallon bucket under an attic access point and insulation debris on the ground. A search of the home also revealed a broken window, appliances in use, and tools scattered throughout the residence.

According to a report, deputies asked the man to come down and when he did not, they entered the attic along with a K-9.

Deputies said they found Bruce Davis, 44, buried in the insulation with his face against the fresh air duct system.

Davis was booked into the Lee County Jail. He faces charges for burglary and resisting arrest.
