JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The wheels falls off of a school bus in motion on a Jacksonville roadway and it’s all caught on camera.
The frightening video of the bus transporting Duval County Public middle and high school students was captured on Wednesday. The wheel is seen rolling next to the bus.
The school district said it is aware of the issue, as it is the second time this week it has happened. The district said its contractor is aware of the issue and is working to make sure it does not happen again.
Parents have said they have safety concerns about the district’s busses. It is the second time a wheel has come off of a public school bus on the same route, with the same driver, but a different bus.
Gladys Wheelings said her freshman daughter was on the bus both times.
“She asked me does she have to take the bus? Can I take her? But I’m a working single parent so I’m sorry to say you will have to take the bus home,” said Wheelings.
The school district, bus company and parents are thankful the driver kept her cool. No injuries were reported in either incident.
