Florida store clerk behind bars accused of having sex with minor

LEVY COUNTY, Fla. – Levy County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 37-year-old man accused of having sex with a minor.

Shawn Allen Kohler works as a clerk at a convenience store in Fanning Springs, west of Gainesville.

Detectives say store surveillance video shows the moments when Kohler met the juvenile while at work on Mar. 20 and later left the store with the victim.

According to an arrest report, the victim said the two had intercourse inside his vehicle. Additional evidence collected by detectives supports statements made by the victim.

Kohler faces sexual assault charges and is being held in the Levy County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
