WESTON, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for a trio of thieves who raided an electronics store in Weston.
The burglary was reported at 2:50 a.m. Aug. 20 at Fix Apple Now at 2806 Weston Road.
Deputies said the owner saw the burglary in progress through his surveillance system and notified authorities.
"I got an alarm call from ADT and I answered the phone and, meanwhile, I'm going into my phone into the video surveillance app, and so I see the actual action happening in real time," business owner Mikhail Tsimafeyeu said. "It was, of course, heartbreaking and stressful in the middle of the night. You know, my wife got up and she saw it too, and she started stressing."
The video shows one of the thieves approached the store entrance and crack the glass door open with a hammer.
The trio entered the store, one going to the front desk to look for something to steal while the other two stole Mac monitors and laptops from the office.
Deputies said one of the burglars filled a red bin with electronics, only to have it dumped out and used by another thief.
The thieves wore gloves during the burglary so they wouldn't leave fingerprints at the scene, deputies said.
Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call Detective Michael Kravecz at 954-389-2010 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
