MIAMI – About $5,000 worth of equipment was taken during a Sept. 11 gym burglary, city police said.
The incident took place at about 2:45 p.m. at the gym at the Shorecrest Apartment located in the 7900 block of Northeast Bayshore Drive.

The thief loaded equipment, monitors, a television and speakers during the incident before fleeing the scene, police said.
Police are searching for a heavy-set man who is between 25 to 30 years old, with curly bushy dark hair and a full beard.
He was last seen wearing a yellow long-sleeved shirt with blue shorts and sandals.
