NEAR JACKSON, MS – If you thought the World’s biggest alligators were only in Florida, then think again.

The group spotted the beast while hunting on a river near Jackson, Mississippi, and waited patiently for it to come back above water.
Sasser posted to Facebook, “We sat through a monsoon for over 3 hours… crunched 2 poles, survived the death roll a few times, displaced everything in the boat and still managed to bring this monster home!!!”
The team then needed to bring in a tractor to get the giant gator from the boat to shore.
Scientists from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks came and took official measurements.
It came back as 14-feet-long and 802 pounds and was also more than five-feet-wide around its belly.
The gator was believed to be about 60 years old.
The team made the rare catch on the first day of the 2024 alligator hunting season in Mississippi and joined the mythical ‘14-foot club’ for gator hunters.
" We are still over the moon with this fairy tale hunt!” Sasser wrote.
