DeSantis awarded $5.8 million from Florida’s Job Growth Grant Fund to Space Coast Regional Airport for roadways connecting the facility to Space Coast Industrial Park, a project aimed at supporting launch activities.

DeSantis said the grant would “create jobs and positive revenue for the local community and the state of Florida.”

DeSantis said he plans to create an environment that will bring good private investment and infrastructure projects to the state.

“Florida is continuing to grow and we’re grateful to have a governor who invests in infrastructure and is helping relieve congestion on major highways,” said Perdue.

Perdue said Florida has invested billions of dollars toward the Department of Transportation, which has helped create over 400,000 jobs in the state.

The news conference was held at the Valiant Air Command, Inc. Warbird Museum.
