HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – West Hollywood Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown Tuesday morning amid a gun scare.
Hollywood police said the all-clear was given after an extensive search of the school.

Police said a teacher overheard a student talking about a possible weapon on school property, prompting the lockdown.
According to an officer at the scene, the student was referring to a neon orange toy gun he had at home, but the teacher heard the word "gun" and reported it to administrators.
A view from Sky 10 showed several police cars on school property.
Police said no weapon was found.
