1 dead, 2 wounded in North Miami shooting

Police say 3 men gunned down in drive-by shooting outside Shell gas station

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A triple shooting left one man dead and two others injured Monday morning in North Miami.

North Miami police Officer Natalie Buissereth said three men were wounded in a drive-by shooting outside a Shell gas station at Northwest Seventh Avenue and Northwest 125th Street.

Buissereth said a gunman riding in a white car opened fire before sunrise, firing at least 30 rounds.

The body of the man who was shot to death was found behind the gas station.

A car with several bullet holes in it was visible at the crime scene. There was also a shattered glass door on the side of the gas station and dozens of orange evidence markers on the ground.

"It appears as though, from what the detectives were saying, that he may have ran," Buissereth said. "But we don't know if he ran from the vehicle or if he was inside."

Two other victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. They were expected to survive.

Police are looking for the other two victims' vehicles, which might also have bullet holes in them.

"So if anyone has any information -- if someone shows up with gunshots in their vehicle or you see a car parked somewhere, abandoned -- call us, because that may be the vehicle we're looking for," Buissereth said.

Tipsters may also call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
