Man arrested in connection with fatal shooting in Miami Gardens

Warren Davis, 21, faces first-degree murder charge

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. ā€“ A man was arrested Monday following a shooting that left one man dead in Miami Gardens.

The shooting was reported just before 9 p.m. Sunday inĀ the area of Northwest 29th Court and 179th Street.

Officers saidĀ they arrived to find a man, identified asĀ Lizandro Quinones-Salvador, had been fatally shot outside a home in the neighborhood.

Police said he had been shot multiple times.Ā 

Crime scene investigators and police canvased the area with flashlights to search for evidence that would lead them to finding out what led up to the fatal shooting.Ā

Crime scene tapeĀ blocked off the neighborhood street for hours duringĀ the investigation.

Authorities later arrested Warren Davis, 21, on a charge of first-degree murder.

A motive for the shooting has not been released.Ā 

Meanwhile, neighbors in the area said they are left shaken by the incident.

"It's kind of surreal, because it's Christmas Eve, you know?" Katrina Rosemond, who called 911 after the shooting, said.Ā "People should be happy. You know, I'm getting ready to make dinner tonightĀ and I don't feel much like celebrating."

Rosemond said she heard eight to 10 gunshots "in rapid succession."
