DAVIE, Fla. – Two CVS pharmacy locations in South Florida turned into crime scenes this week.
A man was shot and killed Wednesday after an argument at a CVS pharmacy in Davie escalated, police said.
The shooting took place less than 24 hours after a customer shot an armed robber at a CVS pharmacy in southwest Miami-Dade County.
Davie police said the shooting occurred about 1 p.m. at the CVS pharmacy at the corner of Griffin Road and University Drive.
Maj. Dale Engle said the shooter was being questioned. He said detectives would be reviewing surveillance video from the store.
Another shooting at a CVS pharmacy in South Florida took place Halloween night in southwest Miami-Dade County.
An off-duty investigator with the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office wounded an armed robber targeting the store on Quail Roost Drive.
The investigator was there as a customer when he spotted the armed robber and shot him in the leg, Miami-Dade police said.
Surveillance video shows the limping suspect wearing a mask as he runs through the parking lot before arriving at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was arrested. His identity hasn't been released.
