MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Multiple schools were placed on lockdown after a shooting in a park next door to Miami Carol City Senior High School.
A 25-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital after he was shot inside a pavilion at Carol City Park, 18655 NW 32nd Ave., in Miami Gardens.
The victim is currently in critical condition.
Police said the shooter fled the scene in a black BMW and is still at-large.
Miami Carol City Senior High School, Carol City Middle School and Barbara Hawkins Elementary School were placed on lockdown orders due to the shooting. The lockdown was later lifted.
