MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two people, including a student, were robbed early Friday near Barry University, the private college's public safety team said in a notice that was sent to students.
The robbery was reported at 2 a.m. near Northwest 115th Street and Sixth Avenue, adjacent to the college's Sylvester Tower.
According to the public safety notice, the victims were approached by several men who pulled up in a black four-door car, possibly a Dodge Charger.
Barry University Public Safety officials said the thieves stole a white Mercedes-Benz from the victim, who is not a student at the college.
The victim was injured in the carjacking and was taken to a hospital.
The student was not injured.
Miami-Dade police are investigating.
