MIAMI – A man has died after a shooting Wednesday night at the Liberty Square housing complex in Miami, authorities said.
Relatives told Local 10 News Thursday morning that Andrew Griffin, 28, was shot sometime between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in the Liberty City area known as the "Pork n' Beans projects."
Miami police spokeswoman Yelitza Cedano-Hernandez confirmed that police were called to a shooting at 1300 NW 63rd Terrace.
She said officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.
Relatives told Local 10 News reporter Layron Livingston that Griffin was sitting on his front porch when someone pulled up in a car and started shooting. They said he had to be resuscitated multiple times in route to the hospital.
Police said they are looking for an older-model Toyota Corolla.

Relatives said Griffin is survived by three young daughters.
