13-foot alligator caught in Florida swimming zone

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An unwelcome visitor was found in a human swimming zone at a Florida park over the weekend.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office posted pictures of a 13-foot alligator found in a designated swimming zone at the Silver Glen Springs Recreation Area.

Trappers were called to remove the gator and bring it ashore.

Once the alligator was taken away, the swimming zone was reopened.
