Rosemery Ramirez-Morales, 23, was found dead Saturday morning in her apartment at the Fontainebleau Milton at 9621 Fontainebleu Blvd. by her roommate.

Officers have been called to the building earlier after a man called 911 to report that something had occurred at the apartment building.

Because no apartment number was given, officers were initially unable to find Ramirez-Morales, authorities said.

Police said Ramirez-Gonzalez had been shot to death by Gonzalez, who also lived with her.

Gonzalez faces a second-degree murder charge.

According to an arrest report, he confessed to killing his girlfriend.

A motive for the killing is unknown.
