2 arrested after snatching woman's purse in Galleria Mall parking garage, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Two people were arrested over the weekend after they snatched a woman's purse inside a parking garage at the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale, authorities said.

The robbery was reported just after 4 p.m. Saturday at the parking garage at 2414 E. Sunrise Blvd.

Fort Lauderdale police said the victim's purse was torn from her shoulder, and she was knocked to the ground by of of the suspects.

Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description given by the victim in the 1400 block of East Sunrise Boulevard.

The driver was pulled over, and John Gregory Moore, 26, and Cameo Rose, 30, were taken into custody.

Moore and Rose face a charge of robbery by sudden snatching. Rose also faces an additional charge of battery on a person who is 65 years of age or older.
