MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for an exotic show horse stolen from its southwest Miami-Dade ranch overnight.
The 11-year-old Andalusian show horse, Deseada, was taken sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday morning.
Police said neighbors heard a disturbance in the area when the incident occurred.
Deseada gave birth on Dec. 3, and although her foal is still eating, she needs her mother.
"It's like losing somebody's mother, " owner Mauricio Guillen said.
Guillen, who has had Deseada for almost nine years, said losing Deseada is like losing a family member.
Anyone who has information on Deseada is urged to call the Miami-Dade police agricultural unit at 786-218-8344.
