HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Ali, the owner of a Hollywood beauty supply store, left his business Wednesday afternoon after he heard gunfire.
When he went outside, Ali said found a man shot dead in an alleyway.
The he realized that he knew the man.
"I was talking to him this morning," Ali said.
The shooting occurred at about 4 p.m. in the 900 block of Dixie Highway, near Hollywood Fire Station No. 5.
Police said the man's body was found in an alleyway behind two apartment complexes.
Minutes after the body was found, Hollywood police began searching for the shooter.
Hollywood police searched for the gunman, who is believed to be armed and dangerous, well into the night.
Police don't have a description of the shooter, but they believe he left on foot.
