MIRAMAR, Fla. – Miramar police are searching for a man who they said used a saw this week to steal catalytic converters from two vehicles.
The incident was captured on camera by a witness Monday in a parking lot at 3601 S. Flamingo Road.

Police said the witness saw the man getting out of a black Ford Mustang with tag 1522GA and holding an electric saw.
Police said he was then seen going under two vehicles and removing the catalytic converters from the cars.
Thieves can sell stolen converters at scrap yards or recyclers for several hundred dollars apiece.
Police said the Mustang's tag number is not registered to that car, making it more difficult for detectives to find the thief.
Detectives said the thief has also been captured on camera committing similar crimes in Miami-Dade County.
Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
