Investigators remain at scene hours after shooting

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Police are investigating after a shooting that left one dead and three others injured Saturday inside a Lauderhill strip club.

Lauderhill police Lt. Gregory Solowsky said the shooting was at Club 54, 3135 W. Broward Blvd.

Witnesses told Local 10 News that it sounded like a war zone.

The three victims who survived the shooting were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately known.

A witness said the victim who died  was a security guard. He was identified by friends as Arturo Morales.

"He's the best person you could ever want to meet. He's a brother. He'll give you the shirt off his back," Morales' friend, Arden Griffiths, said. "He'll work night and day just to make sure his family has everything they need."

Police officers remained at the scene hours after the shooting, searching for bullet casings.

Solowsky said detectives were still looking for others involved.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
