MIAMI ā Mobile carrier AT&T was reporting widespread outages centered in areas of South Florida and Texas.
The outages began around 2:30 p.m. EST and social media sites lit up with complaints from customers being unable to make phone calls or send texts.

An outage map showed most of South Florida being affected, while the major outages appear to be throughout Texas with Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin being hardest hit.
Other areas around the country are also experiencing outages.
An AT&T spokesperson told Local 10 that while some wireless customers had experienced issues, that the matter was resolved and that all service was currently running normally.
