MIAMI – Even the most die-hard Donald Trump supporters may want to avert their eyes if visiting the Wynwood area.
A giant naked statue of the Republican presidential candidate has popped up in South Florida. However, it may not be up for long.
It is the latest appearance of the bizarre piece of artwork that has been showing up all over the country.
The South Florida version of "Birthday Suit" Trump is located atop a billboard at NW 24 Street and NW 6 Avenue.
"I work around the area and I wasn't expecting this. It's pretty funny," Christopher King said.
The anarchist group, Indecline, has taken credit for installing the au natural Trump statue in other cities, including New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Indecline told Local 10 News in a statement that it worked with Mana Contemporary, an art center and exhibition space, to install two Trump statues in Miami and New Jersey.
A source told Local 10 News that the Miami statue is the same one that was erected in New York City.
"I'm no Trump fan, I'm for Hillary. For me, it's just so funny. Whoever created these statues is the man," King said.
Citing fears of it being a safety hazard, Miami police have contacted the property owner to have the statue removed.
"They asked me if I can have it down," maintenance worker Jala Dean said. "I said I'll work with whoever and get that thing down from here-- maybe put it somewhere else."
The statue was taken down later in the day. It is expected to be moved to another building on Northwest Second Avenue near Wynwood Walls.
Indecline said the statue will be in Miami until the November election and then will be put up for auction.
