HOMESTEAD, Fla. ā Two people have been arrested after a pastor was stunned with a Taser and robbed outside a church in Homestead, authorities said.
The incident was reported about 8:15 p.m. Monday at Iglesia Casa de Refugio, at 216 Washington Ave.
Police said the pastor, Manuel Dominguez, 65, was locking up the church when he saw one person trying to break in to his car.
"I see a bicycle in the road and somebody in my car," Dominguez said.
Police said two other people were hiding behind a wall. They jumped out and began beating Dominguez, even stunning him with a Taser.Ā
Dominguez said he began reciting scriptures while being held down, which scared his attackers.
"(I said) 'In Jesus Christ! Repent in Jesus Christ!' They open their eyes and put more power in the gun," Dominguez said.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested near the scene.
Germaine Clark, 19, known on the street as "Boosie," was arrested later in the night and a third person is still on the loose.
Police said Clark had the pastor's cellphone with him when he was arrested.
The suspects face charges of armed robbery, aggravated battery on a person 65 years old or older and burglary. Clark also faces an additional charge of dealing in stolen property, which stems from a probation warrant.
Clark appeared in court and was denied bond.
