MIAMI – An abandoned two-story house caught fire Tuesday night in Miami.
Miami Department of Fire-Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll said firefighters arrived at the house on Southwest Fifth Avenue and found heavy flames on the first floor.

Firefighters searched the house looking for possible squatters, but nobody was inside, Carroll said.
According to residents, several squatters have been known to frequent the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
