Man snatches money from customer at Check Cashing store in Coral Springs

Man threatens to kill everyone inside business, police say

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police are looking for a man who robbed a Check Cashing store over the weekend.

The robbery was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. Saturday at a Check Cashing store at 8071 W. Sample Road.

According to an incident report, an employee pressed the silent alarm after a man pointed a "black object" at the teller and threatened to kill everyone inside the business unless she gave him money.

Police said the man snatched money from the customer side portal where a customer's cash was placed down on.

Witnesses told police that the robber seemed jittery and left when employees did not cooperate with his demands. He was last seen running west through the shopping plaza and getting inside a white car.

Police said the robber got away with $220 from the customer.

No injuries were reported.
