HOMESTEAD, Fla. – An F-16 Fighting Falcon crashed into a safety barrier Monday morning at the Homestead Air Reserve Base, Air Force officials said.
Officials said the crash happened about 9:30 a.m. due to an aborted takeoff while departing on a routine training missing.

The pilot was checked by medical personnel and appeared to be uninjured.
The incident is under investigation.
