PLANTATION, Fla. – Three dogs were saved Monday from a house fire in Plantation, authorities said.
The fire was reported Monday afternoon at a home at 725 Orchid Drive.

Plantation Fire Rescue posted photos of the fire on its Twitter page, showing heavy smoke coming out of the roof of the home.
Firefighters said it appears that the fire started in the air conditioning unit, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The fire was contained tot he garage/exterior of the home.
No one was home when the fire started besides the dogs, authorities said. The dogs are now at a neighbor's home for the time being.
