MIRAMAR, Fla. – The Miramar Police Department is all about helping their community, and sometimes that means helping residents capture Pokémon.

Miramar police watched a  group playing the "Pokémon Go" app outside the police station on Monday.

With their phones out, and Miramar police supporting their efforts,  the group managed to capture the  Dodrio, a three-headed Pokémon.

Miramar police snapped a few photos of the capture on their Twitter account and reminded residents that they don't just catch bad guys, they also help residents catch Pokémon.

And they're not alone.

The New York Police Department also got in on the "Pokémon Go "craze by posting a photo of an officer with a Pikachu.

The NYPD post reminds drivers that while catching Pokémon is fun,  they shouldn't "#CatchEmAll & drive!"
