Rescuers were dispatched to help search for the boat.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue boat found the GPS and some contents belonging to the owner of the sunken vessel and delivered them to the Coast Guard to help in identifying the missing person.
The owner of the boat and a passenger had reportedly left dock Friday and hadn't been heard from since.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez said the sunken boat seemed to have had some type of mechanical malfunction the men were trying to fix when the boat took on water and overturned. However, the men were picked up by a passing boat.
