FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman who is believed to have robbed two South Florida banks recently was arrested Tuesday by the Hollywood Police Department and the FBI's South Florida Violent Crime Task Force.

According to the FBI, Ashley Cambridge, 26, targeted a SunTrust Bank branch about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at 501 E. Las Olas Blvd.

Authorities said Cambridge, who was wearing a cap and flannel shirt, approached a teller and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash.

Customers were inside the building at the time, but no injuries were reported.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said Cambridge is also believed to have robbed a Space Coast Credit Union in Miramar on June 16.

She is in federal custody and is appeared to appear Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court.
