FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Last week, a Weston podiatrist was found guilty of molesting his family's babysitter in 2012, and on Wednesday the victim pleaded with a Broward County judge to keep Dr. Augustine Bollo in jail while he awaits sentencing.
"He's been convicted," the victim said in court."He no longer holds his innocence."
The victim was candid in court, telling the judge that Bollo shouldn't be allowed out of jail, and suggested that it's not safe for Bollo to be around his own family.
"He shouldn't be left alone with two daughters (that are the same) age I was when this occurred," she said.
Bollo was found guilty of lewd and lascivious molestation on Friday and could face up to 15-years in prison for molesting the then 15-year-old he'd hired to watch his four children.
The victim was babysitting Bollo's children when he grabbed her hand, forcing her to touch his genitals while one of his children was in the room.
Bollo then paid the victim $300 to keep quiet.
The victim's father also spoke in court.
He said that he was friends with Bollo and that the podiatrist was known for being promiscuous.
While the victim and her family asked for Bollo to remain behind bars, friends of the doctor painted a different picture of him.
"He's a very kind, professional person to work with," Katherine Fortnash, a medical assistant, said. "Very honest."
The judge didn't make a decision on Bollo's status on Wednesday, but is expected to make one soon.
