Woman robs SunTrust Bank branch in Fort Lauderdale, authorities say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The FBI is searching for a woman who robbed a SunTrust Bank branch Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale.

The robbery was reported about 1:15 p.m. at the bank at 501 E. Las Olas Blvd.

The FBI said the woman approached a teller and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash.

Customers were inside the building at the time, but no injuries were reported.

FBI agents said they are looking into whether the woman is responsible for other bank robberies in South Florida.
