Diana Alvarez remains missing, suspect caught

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A person of interest in the disappearance of Diana Alvarez was detained in Florida, authorities said. 

Jorge Guerrero was suspected of taking Diana from her home Sunday in San Carlos, Fla., but she wasn't with him. The Amber Alert was issued Thursday afternoon. 

The FBI, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Lee County Sheriff's Office are involved in the search. 

Diana celebrated her 9th birthday on May 17th. She is 4 feet, 4 inches and 94 pounds. She has dark hair, brown eyes and has two scars on her leg. 

Authorities were asking anyone with information to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 239-477-1000.
