DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A Miami man was killed early Friday morning in a motorcycle crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a driver in a Ford Fiesta struck Jose Marin's motorcycle just before 1 a.m.
Marin, 27, was thrown from his motorcycle onto the highway. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he died.
All southbound lanes were shut down for more than four hours as police investigated the crash until about 5:30 a.m. Drivers were diverted off the interstate at Stirling Road.
It was Friday morning's second fatal crash in the southbound lanes of I-95 in Broward County. Two people were killed in an earlier crash near Sample Road.
