Peeping Tom records woman undressing in Forever 21 fitting room, woman says

Incident reported at Sawgrass Mills Mall

SUNRISE, Fla. – A woman says she was shopping after work at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise when a man tried to record her changing inside a dressing room.

"It's nasty. It's disgusting. I don't understand why some people would do that," Candace Brenn said.

Brenn said she went into a Forever 21 dressing room to try on swimsuits when a small part of someone's shoe in the room next door popped out and caught her attention.

She said she noticed something a shiny on the edge.

"I glance down and I notice that it's a camera lens on the top of this man's shoe, and I really was just beside myself," Brenn said.

Brenn said she immediately confronted the man with store employees.

"I was like, 'What is that on your shoe? Show me your shoe,'" Brenn said.

According to Brenn, the man was nervous and wouldn't budge. But she said he ran out of the store before police could arrive.

Brenn said the store should have designated men's and women's fitting room so this type of incident doesn't happen again.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
