TAMARAC, Fla. – University Hospital was on lockdown twice Monday after a suspicious package was left in the lobby and a bomb threat was called in, authorities said.
The hospital's emergency room was placed on lockdown after receiving a bomb threat in the afternoon.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Joy Oglesby said someone called the hospital and a nearby medical supply store claiming that there was a bomb.
Oglseby said the BSO bomb squad searched both locations and found no threat.
The hospital was reopened, but then placed on lockdown again after a suspicious package was found in the lobby.
Authorities later determined that the package was an unattended lunch bag.
