PEMRBOKE PINES, Fla. – A 53-year-old man died Tuesday when his silver Ford pickup struck a tree in Pembroke Pines, according to the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
Daniel McGill was headed southbound in the 1800 block of Northwest 196th Avenue at about 5 p.m. when he swerved onto the east swale in the 2300 block, police said.

The pickup then returned to the roadway and drove into the west swale, where it struck a tree and overturned.
McGill was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
