"Has anyone been hit?" a dispatcher asked the first person who called 911.
"No. He's pointing it up in the air and shooting it," the man said.
Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News shows a man, whom police identified as Derek David, dragging a woman down Charles Street and knocking her to the ground. Two men are seen running over to help before the suspect fires into the air and then aims his gun down the street toward the victims.
The 911 caller said David was carrying a small pistol.
"Hey (expletive). Don't point your (expletive) gun at me. He's (expletive) pointing the gun at me," the caller said.
Authorities said the shots missed those involved in the altercation and ended up hitting three innocent bystanders.
A woman who called 911 said she heard the shots while she was inside Shorty's Market and found the injured victims. She said she didn't see who had shot them.
One victim, Scott McBride, 54, was treated at a hospital and released. Brenden Boudreaux, 35, and Reid Ogden, 27, were airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in Miami.
"I heard what sounded like firecrackers or something," Ogden told Local 10 News reporter Amy Viteri. "I thought fireworks were going off or something -- a little celebration -- and I ended up seeing a guy run past me and I heard a little pop, and that's when my forearm went numb."
Witnesses said a bouncer at Rick's helped chase down David, who was arrested a block away on Green Street.
David was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
