Police arrived and found Nguyen unconscious and bleeding. Nguyen was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he later died.

Bartolino, who was also shot, was treated and released from the hospital.

Detectives said Bartolino told them that Nguyen got into an altercation with Cirillo and another man near their home.

When detectives questioned Cirillo, he told them that Nguyen pointed a gun at them and told them repeatedly to get on the ground. Detectives said Cirillo then pulled out a gun and shot Nguyen and Bartolino.

Bartolino told detectives that, after Nguyen was shot, he picked up Nguyen's gun and fired several shots into the air, hoping to get help from neighbors.

Police said Cirillo doesn't have a license to carry a concealed firearm. He was arrested and later released from jail.

Bartolino was arrested on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 561-338-1344 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
