LAKELAND, Fla. – Students at a Florida school watched as a trapper capture a 10-foot alligator who showed up to their school, which is near two lakes and a canal.
Lakeland Police received the report about 2 p.m., Monday, at the Geneva Classical Academy, 4204 Lakeland Highlands Road, in Lakeland, Fla, according to Patch.

The school's Facebook update: "Our students received a good Polk County education today: How to trap a 9'11 gator."
The trapper caught it near the school's driveway before the students were allowed to leave about 2:45 p.m. Mary Cummins posted a video on Facebook.
"It was certainly an unexpected and exciting event," School headmaster Richard Cali said during an interview with Patch.
