MIAMI – A man was arrested Tuesday after he was caught on camera masturbating outside a Miami home, police said.
Ricky Permenter, 60, faces charges of burglary and voyeurism.
Surveillance video of the Feb. 21 incident was released Monday, leading to a flood of tips from people who live in the area of Southwest 28th Road and Seventh Avenue, police said.
The video shows a man masturbating while walking up to the front porch of the home and ringing the doorbell. Police said Permenter continued to masturbate as he attempted to open the door and then looked through the front window.
The man, believed to be Permenter, is also seen breaking into and then sitting inside a black Mercedes that was parked in the driveway.
Police said Permenter ran away after the homeowner came outside and told him to get out of his car, which he was rummaging through.
According to Miami police, Permenter was taken into custody Tuesday morning and was questioned by detectives. He was later positively identified in a photo lineup by the homeowner.
Permenter has a previous arrest history that includes charges of resisting an officer, assault with a deadly weapon, loitering and prowling, cocaine possession, trespassing and burglary.
