Mother says cellphone video shows teens at Pink Pony in Doral

Jose Arguelles, 59, accused of allowing girls to dance on stage, do drugs at club

DORAL, Fla. – A South Florida mother is outraged after she claims cellphone videos show her 17-year-old daughter hanging out at a Doral strip club with her 16-year-old friend and the friend's father.

The teenager's mother said the videos show the girls doing drugs and dancing provocatively onstage at the Pink Pony strip club, which was ordered shut last week.

"The videos are clear. It's not like, maybe, you think. They're clear," the mother, who didn't want to be identified, told Local 10 News. "He's in every single shot. He's the one who was giving them the drugs."

Jose Arguelles, 59, was arrested Tuesday on charges of child neglect, promoting sexual performance by a minor and allowing a minor to smoke marijuana and cocaine.

According to an arrest report, Arguelles, who told detectives that he was a club promoter, admitted to taking the girls to the strip club and said he knew it was wrong.

Police said Arguelles' daughter claimed that her father has been taking her and her 17-year-old friend to the strip club since she turned 16 in March. Police said she admitted to doing drugs and drinking inside the club.

"My daughter's on stage," the mother said. "My daughter's inside the dressing rooms."

Arguelles is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $45,000 bond.

"It's sick," the mother said. "What he was doing was sick."

The club has since been shut down while the case is investigated.
